Adaptive or special needs strollers are for children, teens, and adults with mobility-related disabilities. They provide enhanced postural support, stability, and comfort over standard strollers.
Users with limited mobility who cannot self-propel in a regular wheelchair require a convenient and safe way to travel without the restrictions of a large or heavy wheelchair.
To get this product approved for your child, you will need a letter of medical necessity and a prescription from your child’s doctor. The letter can be written by a specialist, like a neurologist, or a service provider, like a physical therapist. Your child will also have had to have seen a doctor in the last 90 days. If you need assistance with this, please let us know.
Meredith is in charge of all of our graphic design needs. She spearheads our social media, marketing materials, and website campaigns. She graduated from Anderson University with a BA in Graphic Design and a minor in Healthcare Management.
She enjoys reading, painting, owning her own boutique, and spending time with her fiancé, family, and friends.
She loves helping out with the family business and enjoys being an integral part of a team that makes it their mission to improve the lives of individuals with special needs.
Karina works as our translator. Karina grew up in a Spanish-speaking home and therefore has been speaking Spanish and English for 19 years. She enjoys giving people the confidence to communicate without there being a communication barrier.
She is currently pursuing a degree in Architecture. She has a dog named Star and they love to go on hikes together. Additionally, Karina enjoys painting, taking pictures of sunsets and vlogging in her free time.

Alex graduated from Dixie High School in 2019. He enjoys going to the lake with my family and friends whenever he can. He also enjoys going to watch college football games on Saturdays. He says that he is very proud to be apart of the team and looks forward to growing with the company.
Mark and Dana Mitchell started Palmetto Seating and Mobility in 2001 because there was a desperate need for a durable medical equipment providers in the area. They have two beautiful daughters, one of whom has cerebral palsy.
Mark is an ATP, RET, and graduate of Clemson University with Bachelor of Science degrees in both Economics and Industrial Engineering. He also have an Associate of Science degree from Greenville Technical College.
Dana is also a graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She has served in several different capacities throughout her nursing career including pediatrics, obstetrics, and post anesthesia.
They enjoy quality time with family and friends as well as spending time at the river.
As the Director of Operations, Josh is responsible for directing and coordinating the daily operations of Palmetto Seating and Mobility. Additionally, he is responsible for equipment evaluations and custom fittings. He works hand in hand with physical and occupational therapists, physicians, and service coordinators to ensure that everyone receives the seating and mobility system that best suits their wants and needs.
He is an ATP, has a degree in Applied Science from Thomas Edison State University, and served in the United States Navy for over 10 years as a Navy corpsman.
Josh’s combat medical training prepared him for everything from working on a 28-bed medical surgery ward to serving with the Marine Corps.
He enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Michele, and their three kids, Jayce, Bryce, and Layla.
Kelly is our General Manager and, as such, she oversees and monitors all aspects of the Medical Supply and Medical Equipment departments to ensure that the highest level of quality and support is provided effectively and efficiently.
She has an extensive background as a certified surgical dental assistant and understands how vital maintaining a healthy customer-company relationship is to the continued success of our organization. She takes great pride in making sure that our patients receive their orders as prescribed and in a timely manner.
When Kelly is not working hard, she is playing hard! She enjoys kickboxing and adventures with her handsome husband, three children, and dogs.
Courtney works in the Medical Equipment Department and is responsible for procuring insurance authorizations and maintaining patient documentation. She works closely with physician offices and service coordinators in the fulfillment of her duties.
She takes great pride in her job and is honored to play an important role in the process of acquiring medical equipment for our patients.
Courtney and her husband have two children, Brexley and Branston. She enjoys being outdoors, camping, and life’s precious moments!
Crystal oversees the Incontinence Department and is responsible for referral intakes, maintaining monthly incontinence orders, and incontinence billing. She works closely with families, providing specialized solutions while treating each patient with great concern and comfort.
Crystal has a daughter named Kennedy. They enjoy all outside adventures whether it be chasing waterfalls or dancing in the rain!
Sommer is in the Medical Supply Department and is responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations and maintaining patient documentation. She works closely with doctors’ offices and parents to ensure that each patient receives expert care in the procurement of their physician ordered supplies.
Sommer’s children, Ryker and Renleigh, are her passion outside of work. Her family spends much of their time on their family farm where there is an adventure around every corner!
Tammy assists both the Medical Equipment and Medical Supply departments. She serves as the intake facilitator for the Supply department. Her duties in the Equipment department include managing orders/referrals up until the point of billing.
Tammy has worked in the medical field for over 25 years and has several family members with special needs. She knows all too well the challenges and obstacles that the families of these individuals face. She is pleased to say that she has a very rewarding job.
Tammy and her husband have two children, Emily and Ansley. She enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Kelli is the Claims Manager and is responsible for overseeing the processing of all insurance claims to ensure the procedure is handled efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner.
She is a graduate of Auburn University and has 19 years of hospital experience including billing and training.
She has been married for 24 years and has 2 boys. One of her sons attends Clemson University and her youngest attends Belton Honea Path High School.
When not at work, her and her family stays busy at baseball and football games watching their youngest play. If not watching him, they can be found supporting our Clemson Tigers!
Karisa is one of our Claims Specialists. She works in the Medical Equipment Department and is responsible for insurance billing and claims resolution.
Karisa and her husband enjoy spending time making memories at rodeos and around the family farm with their newest baby, Emersyn Grace.
Nick works in the Medical Equipment Department and is responsible for the assembly, set-up, and patient delivery of medical equipment. He is also our Marketing Specialist and is charged with establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients through networking and prospecting.
He began working at Palmetto Seating & Mobility after two and half years at CVS Pharmacy. He is a graduate of Anderson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his fiancée, family, and friends.
Laura is one of our Claims Specialists. She works in the Medical Supply Department and is responsible for the medical billing and the claims resolution of our patient monthly supplies.
She has three amazing children: Braiden, Kodi, and Tucker. They enjoy riding their horses together as a family, taking relaxing trail rides, or practicing in the arena for them to run barrels and rope. She is proud to be part of the PS&M family and looks forward to growing with the company!
